As participation in sport and physical activity in Europe is stagnating, and in some EU Member States, even declining, the European Commission has come up with a new initiative to tackle this growing problem: the European Week of Sport, which aims to promote sport and physical activity across Europe. The Week is for everyone, regardless of age, background or fitness level.
