EL re-elects President and appoints new Executive Committee
Bern, 17 September 2025 – During the EL General Assembly on 17 September in Bern (Switzerland), members re-elected Romana Girandon as President and appointed a new Executive Committee for the period 2025-2027.

The unanimous vote confirms the trust in our shared societal purpose and the strong commitment of European lotteries to gaming that gives back to society. I sincerely thank EL members for their confidence in me to lead our Association for another mandate. Together with a strong and experienced Executive Committee, we will ensure that lotteries lead the debate at the European level and proactively shape a future that benefits both our sector and the societies we serve. ”

The General Assembly took place on the occasion of the 12th EL Congress. This year’s theme - “Building a Better World” - acted as a clear reminder that lotteries are and always will be a force for public good, where we need to continue to defend and protect the European lottery model.
