Digital Responsibility: Safeguarding Minors Online
Digital technologies are transforming our economies and societies at unprecedented speed. As the EU strives to promote a human-centric, fair and sustainable digital future, safeguarding minors online has become a growing priority. This event will bring together European decision-makers (MEPs, Commission representatives and the Polish Presidency) as well key stakeholders to explore how to create a safer digital space.
What to expect? Join us to discuss:
- The future Digital Fairness Act, the expected European Commission’s guidelines on protecting minors online and European Parliament's own-initiative report on protections of minors online, as well as the enforcement of the Digital Services Act so far.
- How best practices from the lottery sector can address challenges such as addictive design, dark patterns and misleading content that disproportionately impact young users.

The event will take place in the European Parliament (Brussels) on Wednesday 5 February, 15:00 - 17:00 CET.
The event is hosted by Mr. Fulvio Martusciello, Member of the European Parliament (EPP, Italy).
