Information Session on revised EL Responsible Gaming Framework
Open to EL (Regular) Lottery Members ONLY
We are pleased to announce a dedicated in-person Session on the Revised EL Responsible Gaming Framework. This workshop represents a key milestone in the revision of the EL Responsible Gaming Certification Process.
Following the approval of the revised EL Responsible Gaming (RG) Standards at the General Assembly in Marrakech in June 2026, EL has been working closely with its Members to develop the updated certification framework, which is scheduled to enter into force on 1 July 2027.
Building on the valuable feedback received during our workshops and consultations, we are now finalising the key elements of the new framework, with the aim of ensuring a robust, transparent, consistent and practical certification process that responds to Members' needs while maintaining the credibility of EL's RG Certification.
As we approach this important milestone, EL is pleased to invite its Members to an information session dedicated to presenting the final elements of the updated certification framework, including:
- Final Procedural Guidelines – the practical arrangements for certification under the new framework.
- Scoring – the methodology and assessment of the different certification levels.
- Governance and Quality Assurance – the new assessor model, independent oversight and mechanisms to ensure consistency.
- Cost Model – the financial arrangements associated with the certification process.
- Digital Platform – the new tool designed to support Members throughout the certification journey.
This session will provide an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the new framework, address any outstanding questions and discuss the next steps ahead of its final confirmation by the General Assembly in May 2027.
Further details on the programme will be sent by email to EL members who registered.
The workshop will be held in Brussels on 9 March. The session will be interactive in nature, where active participation will be essential to the quality and effectiveness of these exchanges.
Although remote participation is a possibility, we strongly encourage in-person attendance to ensure more productive discussions.
A limited number of hotel rooms are available at a negotiated rate (the booking link will be provided upon request). Further details can be found in the registration form.
